Thank you to everyone who joined us at Buffalo Wild Wings for SIES Spirit Night! We had a fantastic turnout and loved seeing Skimmer families dining together and stopping by for carryout. It was such a fun, easy way to support our school!

Together, our families generated more than $1,400 in participating sales, earning a $213.20 donation for the SIES PTA. We’re especially grateful to Buffalo Wild Wings for hosting us and donating 15% back to our school!

Our PTA Hospitality Committee kept the appreciation rolling with a fabulous September Woot Woot Wagon filled with delicious treats for our teachers and staff. The PTA also sponsored September’s workroom restock to help keep everyone fueled throughout the school day. Next up, our second-grade families will have the opportunity to help restock the workroom for October! Keep an eye out for an email from your room parent with details on how you can help.

Congratulations to CD/Kindergarten for having the highest PTA membership participation so far this school year! Haven’t joined yet? There’s still time to be part of it!

Whether you have five minutes, a special skill to share, or simply want to learn more about what the PTA does, there’s a place for you! Expressing interest never commits you to volunteering. If you’re considering getting more involved, here are a few easy steps to get started:

   • Log into Membership Toolkit → click Volunteer → browse the list and select anything that interests you (Note: Signing up only shows you’re interested in learning more — it doesn’t commit you to volunteering!)

Charleston Battery School Night | October 10

Meet other SIES families at Patriots Point on Saturday, October 10, as the Charleston Battery takes on Louisville City! Students can take part in special on-field experiences, including Warm-Up Watchers and a High Five Tunnel. Parking will be available beginning at 4:30 and gates will open at 5:30. Outdoor Movie Night | November 6

Join us for a fun evening under the stars with our Skimmer community! Doors open at 5:45 p.m. Admission will be a canned food donation benefiting ECCO, and food trucks will be on-site with dinner, snacks, and desserts available for purchase. Bring your blankets and low-seated lawn chairs, then settle in for a great family night! More information, including the selected movie, will be announced soon. For now, save the date! Note: this is not a drop-off event. Parents must remain with their children, and no re-entry will be permitted.
